Love is worth fighting for!

Today I hear a song by Warren Barfield. How fitting for today as Japan was struck was struck by an 8.9 Earth Quake and continues to feel aftershocks. As I deal with the simple Quakes in my life I am reminded of the simplicity the song has to offer. To keep on keeping on, praying and loving.

Deployment status - under 100 days

We are keeping very busy these days! We are constantly at the YMCA, zoo, Jump Zone, or park. We love to do activities for families! Today I am here at the YMCA watching the boys play in the pool, go down the slides, and play with other kids. We are having so much fun!

Connecting with The Father

I have to say I have really seen God's fingerprints in my life daily. Sometimes I just need to slow down take a deep breath pause from my busy life and connect with Him. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Ecclesiastes 3 (New Living Translation)

A Time for Everything
1 "For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
2 A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6 A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace."

Valentines Day is almost Here

Happy Almost Valentines Day...I have gotten into the spirit! The boys and I actually sent out Valentines Day cards this year (this is a first)!  Much of this has to do with our new printer and a new card making program we have recently gotten. So now our relatives will be receiving cards for every holiday know to man!  I have already purchased more ink than just to ensure I don't run out. Over the weekend I intend on making my close friends and neighbors some cards, cookies and candy. I have found that when I focus outward on others it brings me great joy.
